Job Summary/Purpose Under the direction of the Termite General Manager, with the support of the Branch Managers, sells termite solutions to prospective residential and/or commercial accounts   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Represents Lloyd Pest Control in interactions with prospective Commercial customers in assigned area. Meets or exceeds monthly personal sales goals by selling Lloyd services in accordance with Company mission, values goals, policies, practices and procedures:    * Using appropriate lead development tools and strategies, assesses and identifies potential customers and promptly responds to leads generated by customer inquiries.  * Identifies and uses “best” strategies to contact leads, including making “cold” telephone calls, writing and sending letters or personally calling on prospective customers; * Contacts prospective customers to schedule meeting to discuss Termite solutions. * Follow up with potential customers to close sales. * After assessing property needs, while attentively listening to customer concerns and expectations, recommends pest solutions designed to resolve property issues;  * Negotiates price with customer based on published rate card guidelines, pest findings, customer needs and competitive bids. * Utilizing general and specialized sales skills and techniques, knowledge about Lloyd services, technical termite control knowledge and interpersonal skills negotiation to close sales. * For potential customers, with open bids, review sales bids and negotiate alternative solutions. Informs  * Promptly provides reports to customer and obtains necessary customer authorizations. * After sold solutions have been completed, Inspector will follow up to ensure service met customer expectations and offer additional pest services and requests for referrals. * As appropriate, regularly contacts and maintains personal relationships with existing customers. * Continuously builds relationship with business community by participating in trade groups, trade shows and other promotional opportunities that will lead to expansion of customer contact list and future sales.  * Performs thorough termite inspections of properties including accurate, thorough measurements of property; evidence of termites and other wood destroying organisms,  * As necessary on difficult, unique or large accounts, requests assistance from management to accurately and appropriately determine findings, recommendations and/or pricing; * Writes accurate, thorough, clear and concise termite reports and, as required, obtains appropriate management approvals; * Promptly provides reports to customer and obtains necessary customer authorizations. * Creates, compiles, maintains, completes, enters, updates and/or provides potential and current customer data and information and other termite-related documents and forms in Company database and/or files. * As directed or as necessary, inspects, maintains, repairs, stores and/or cleans assigned inspection and safety tools, equipment, vehicles and chemicals.  * Keeps current on areas related to assigned responsibilities, including techniques and technical termite control procedures, methods and policies: * Keeps up to date on selling skills, techniques and trends. * Consistently maintains current knowledge of company provided sales literature and media sources. * Actively seeks sales and business-related best practices through books, magazines, the internet and other public sources. * Attends sales seminars, conferences and trade shows; * Attends and actively participates in all mandatory termite control and sales training programs and meetings; * Fulfills all necessary requirements to maintain requisite licenses. * Proactively takes opportunities for self-development and career enrichment.  * As necessary or assigned, performs termite control servicing duties. * Regularly communicates with branch management, team members, CSR’s and other branch employees to obtain and provide appropriate information and to identify and resolve problems; * Attends and actively participates in all mandatory pest control and sales training programs and meetings. * Fulfills all necessary requirements to maintain requisite licenses. * Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services competitor activities, and other research. * Actively pursues continuing learning and professional development on efficient sales, communications and product knowledge and training. Physical and Mental Demands   Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: * Sit, stand and walk. * Operate vehicle  * Talk, hear, in person and by telephone. * Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment and reach with hands and arms.  * Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, crawl, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, climb or balance. * Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, use of both eyes, depth perception, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. Mental Demands The employee is regularly required to; * Effectively communicate verbally and in writing * Read and understand documents; analyze and solve problems; observe and interpret situations.  * Basic math. * Perform work on multiple, concurrent tasks with changing, intensive deadlines and constant interruptions.  * Interact with staff, customers, the public and others. The employee may occasionally deal with dissatisfied or abusive customers. * Ability to organize and service customers through effective time management and project management skills.   Working Conditions * The employee is required to spend at least 50% of their time outside at customer properties. * The employee may spend time under typical office conditions (both company and customer locations). * Employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions. * The employee will work on ladders/scaffolding or in high, precarious places.  * Work in confined spaces or work on uneven or slippery surfaces. Qualifications   Knowledge of: * Principles, practices, techniques and methods of sales and customer service, including principles and practices of lead development and bid and proposal development. * Pricing principles, practices, techniques and methods for all Company services. * Structural Pest Control Act, other applicable pest control rules and regulations and other laws, rules and regulations that affect Company sales business. * Sound business communication practices. * Correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. * Pest control practices, techniques, terminology and methods, including applications and uses of Company equipment and chemicals.   Ability to:     * Operate a computer using word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications and operate other standard office equipment.  * Meet and exceed company sales goals and
Responsibilities
