Position: Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 to $79,999
Location: Terra Canberra, Canberra ACT
We are a restaurant in City West, and we’re on the lookout for a Chef de Partie and a Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
Our menu revolves around our charcoal rotisserie and smoker, with frequent changes depending on the seasonal produce we receive from our suppliers. We’re always exploring new and exciting culinary ideas. If you’re eager to evolve, try fresh concepts, and keep things interesting – we’d love to hear from you!
We’re a fun, dynamic team working in an open kitchen, so the successful candidate must be well-presented and have a strong understanding of food safety and OH&S.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Chef in Modern Australian Cuisine
  • Proven experience as a Chef De Partie in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Degree, diploma, or trade certificate in culinary or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience cooking with Australian native ingredients and using Asian or locally sourced ingredients
  • Experience cooking with wood fire

  • Effective collaboration with the kitchen team to foster harmonious working relationships
  • Contribution to maintaining the overall hygiene, food standards, and cleanliness of all kitchen areas
  • Strong understanding of food safety requirements
  • Service-oriented approach with keen attention to detail
