Job Summary: Terra Mae is seeking enthusiastic and passionate servers to join our team in delivering an exceptional dining experience that celebrates the unique fusion of Portuguese and Japanese cuisine. As a server, you will play a vital role in providing outstanding service, guiding guests through our innovative menu, and ensuring that each visit is memorable. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Menu Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and the story behind our dishes, to effectively guide guests in their selections. Order Taking: Accurately take and input food and beverage orders, ensuring timely service and attention to detail. Food Presentation: Serve food and beverages with a focus on presentation, ensuring that dishes reflect the quality and creativity of our culinary offerings. Table Maintenance: Monitor tables for guest needs, refilling drinks and clearing dishes as necessary to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment. Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth service and communication throughout the dining experience. Upselling: Proactively recommend menu items and beverages to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Payment Processing: Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, providing receipts and ensuring a seamless checkout process. Requirements Qualifications: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, preferably in an upscale dining environment with a minimum of 5+ years of serving. Passion for food, beverage, and cultural fusion. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong multitasking abilities and a positive attitude. Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain any necessary food and beverage service certifications.
