Key Duties & Responsibilities In a future Territory Account Manager role at Vertex, you may: Build strategic customer partnerships with key decision-makers and healthcare stakeholders across target accounts Navigate complex health systems by engaging clinical, administrative, pharmacy, formulary, and protocol stakeholders Develop and execute account plans that reflect customer priorities, institutional dynamics, access considerations, and business opportunities Identify barriers and unlock solutions that support appropriate patient identification, access, and long-term account growth Bring product and clinical expertise to customer conversations using approved messaging and compliant engagement practices Support access and formulary efforts by delivering value-based messaging and collaborating with internal partners on pull-through strategies Drive strong business performance through disciplined planning, execution, forecasting, and follow-through Collaborate across teams while modeling the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and compliance Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred Advanced degree such as an MBA Required Experience Progressive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales and account management A strong track record of results, with a clear customer and patient focus Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic account planning skills Ability to work effectively in complex, cross-functional environments Experience navigating sophisticated customer systems and processes, including institutional decision-making and access/formulary dynamics where applicable Other Requirements Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by car or plane up to 80% of the time Overnight travel (approximately 10–30%) may be required Ability to meet customer credentialing requirements, including background screening, training, and vaccination requirements, as applicable How This Talent Community Works This is an evergreen posting designed to help Vertex connect with strong talent for future opportunities Applying does not mean there is a current vacancy or guaranteed role Qualified candidates may be contacted for an initial conversation about background, interests, and geographic flexibility Pay Range: $133,600 - $200,400 Disclosure Statement: The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
