About the role: The Territory Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships within their assigned territory to ensure successful sales results through promotion of Bard product lines. They will have direct responsibility for accounts under their control as well as coordinating the activities of all outside sales representatives in their area. Main Responsibilities: • Achieve or exceed established annual sales quota by implementing approved marketing strategies. • Maintain and promote high professional standards and ethics while representing the company. • Establish and maintain good relations with all levels of management at customer accounts. • Coordinate selling efforts of all inside/outside sales representatives in the area. • Plan and execute promotional programs as directed by Marketing Communications. • Keep informed on changes and developments related to the business and communicate these changes to customers, staff and other internal departments. • Ensure accurate forecasting information is provided to Planning and Supply Chain Management. • Work with Sales Training to implement training plans for all inside/outside sales representatives in the area. • Provide input regarding new product ideas and enhancements to existing products. • Assist in the identification of new sales territories and openings created by competitive activity. • Work with Marketing Communications to develop advertising, merchandising and promotional materials appropriate for each account. What you'll need to succeed: • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Three years previous relevant work experience required. • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. • Highly developed interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Ability to travel frequently (>75%) and stay overnight away from home base when necessary. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
