WE’RE HIRING: TERRITORY MANAGER – ETOBICOKE, ON

We are currently hiring for a Territory Manager position on behalf of one of our valued clients located in Etobicoke, Ontario.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Territory Manager within the food industry, managing both independent accounts and major retail chains across the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).
  • Prior experience with routes and retail coverage in the GTA is essential.
  • Strong background in sales execution, merchandising, and customer relationship management.
  • Preference will be given to those with experience working in companies similar to ours (natural/organic food manufacturing or distribution).

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Relationship Management and Sales Execution
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with current customers and prospective accounts in the assigned territory or market segment.
  • Generate sales by servicing existing accounts, planning daily work schedules, and visiting new accounts regularly.
  • Identify and pursue potential sales outlets and new distribution channels to expand the customer base.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s product lines and brand to recommend suitable products to independent and small chain stores.
  1. Reporting and Communication
  • Keep management informed by submitting daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analyses.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Admin Coordinator to provide customers with detailed sales history and insights.
  • Serve as a contingency backup for the call center and order desk during staff shortages or emergencies.
  1. Promotional Programs and Marketing Support
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Admin Coordinator to implement and develop promotional programs that drive sales.
  • Assess stores for seasonal product displays and coordinate with drivers for setup and teardown.
  • Assist in trade show setup, teardown, and participation as required to effectively represent the company’s brand and products.
  • Collaborating with the Logistics Team to optimize route and make changes
  1. Logistics and Coordination
  • Use the company car to visit designated stores daily and maintain a professional presence across the territory.
  • Coordinate with logistics and drivers to ensure timely deliveries and support smooth operations.
  • Deliver products during emergencies to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain service levels.
