We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Pool & Spa business, managing the upstate New York territory! In this individual contributor role, you will own your territory and sell Pentair’s highly successful products & brands, including pool cleaning systems, pumps, heaters, automation systems, and more. You will sell primarily to and through authorized distributors, professional dealers, and pool installers/servicers, effectively utilizing marketing programs and promotional material, leveraging field resources, and providing technical product training.
* This job posting is for one territory sales position that will include most of New York, southwest Massachusetts, and western Connecticut. Ideal candidates will live in or near one of the posted metropolitan areas with the ability to travel across the territory 50-60% of the time. * #LI-Remote

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have earned a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Have 3-5 years of professional sales experience, including an ability to manage a territory and sell mechanical / engineered products.
  • Experience in the swimming pool industry and have electro-mechanical skills and ability to train others, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations on our pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, or automation systems.
  • Experience working with indirect sales environments, especially with channel partners and/or distribution networks preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.
