Territory Sales Representative

We are currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated, team player who is self-motivated and goal oriented to join the team.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative is responsible for achieving opportunity-based sales quotas through outside sales, in-person customer visits, and execution of sales strategies. This role focuses on developing and maintaining profitable customer relationships in both on-premises and retail channels, meeting volume objectives, and promoting brand growth through innovative selling. The position requires integrity, passion, creativity, and strong presentation skills.
This role includes frequent driving for customer visits, with some occasional overnight trips and weekend work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience, preferably in beverage alcohol, packaged goods, or related industry.
  • University degree or college diploma in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Sales training or certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of the craft beer market in the region is an asset.
  • Proven success meeting sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Category management experience is an asset.

  • Ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining quotas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and listening skills.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in basic math, computer use, and marketing concepts.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 kg and work in variable weather conditions.
  • Compliance with all company policies, food safety standards, and manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities
  • Meet or exceed territory sales objectives to achieve personal, divisional, and corporate goals.
  • Build and sustain customer relationships while growing passion for the company’s products.
  • Participate in and represent the company at corporate events to promote the brand.
  • Service and support all on-premises and retail accounts, managing current portfolios and anticipating customer needs through on-site visits.
  • Manage product freshness, check expiry dates, and minimize stale product.
  • Plan and execute on-premises, retail, and consumer programs.
  • Develop and maintain a Category Management Strategy for retail accounts and execute cooler re-alignments.
  • Oversee product placement, inventory management, merchandising, and POS execution using a fact-based selling approach.
  • Create territory plans and independent sales programs aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and training sessions to customers.
  • Manage annual budgets and analyze territory sales performance monthly.
  • Monitor competitive activity and provide feedback to management.
  • Plan and execute regional promotions and events.
  • Complete administrative tasks including call plans, visit trackers, pricing surveys, and expense reports on schedule.
