JOB SUMMARY

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing customers and prospects by selling water treatment products and services. This role involves prospecting, presenting solutions, negotiating contracts, and providing ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth. The position total rewards package includes: base pay, bonus and commission pay and a comprehensive group benefits coverage.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience selling in retail, grocery and or foodservice industries will be considered a strong asset
  • Travel locally/regionally for customer engagement, attending events on behalf of the company or visiting customers
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, insurance and clean motor vehicle record. Car allowance or millage will be reimbursed
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
  • Expertise in B2B or industry-specific sales with related technical sales or field sales support experience
  • College or university degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field or 2 years specialized training in related fields
  • Technical certifications in water treatment or plumbing will be considered an asset
  • Understanding of water systems, filtration technology, or mechanical systems will be considered an asset

Responsibilities
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email, networking, trade shows, referrals and other channels generating a consistent pipeline of qualified leads to support the sales team’s targets
  • Sales Presentations and Consultations: Conduct in-person meetings or group presentations with customers to understand their water treatment needs, present relevant solutions, and demonstrate the value of the company’s products and services.
  • Proposal Development and Presentation: Prepare and present customized proposals, pricing and contract terms, and close sales deals ensuring excellent customer services
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Product and Technical Expertise: Develop a strong understanding of products and technologies to effectively address customer needs and resolve technical issues
  • Sales Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using a CRM system and following company procedures
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to contribute to the development of effective sales strategies
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and work ethic and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Performs other job-related duties as required, requested or assigned from time to time
