JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Territory Sales Representative to join our team and manage the Vaughan territory. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with proven experience in the food distribution business, strong sales skills, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for growing sales, acquiring new clients, and managing existing accounts in your territory.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or direct sales roles is essential, Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience in the food distribution or food service industry (required).
  • Familiarity with account management practices and territory management strategies is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Vaughan and Greater Toronto Area market.
  • Experience using CRM software for tracking leads and managing customer relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Background in technology sales or retail sales is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly for optimal results. Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets within your territory.
  • Conduct outside sales activities, including cold calling, lead generation, and product demos to prospective clients.
  • Prospect new customers, including restaurants, cafes, caterers, wholesalers, and retailers.
  • Manage existing accounts while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products or services.
  • Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and analyze sales data for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotional strategies with territory needs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance and market analysis to inform management of progress and challenges in the territory.
  • Conduct regular field visits, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, products, and competitors.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company’s products, technology sales, and industry trends to effectively communicate value propositions.
