About the job you’re considering We are seeking an Automation Tester with a strong foundation in API automation using Python, preferably with the Pytest framework. This role demands a balanced approach to both hands-on automation development (50%25) and in-sprint functional testing (50%25) within Agile environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables in fast-paced development cycles. Your role: Develop and maintain robust API test automation scripts using Python and Pytest. Execute in-sprint functional testing to validate new features and enhancements within Agile iterations. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to define test strategies and acceptance criteria. Perform manual validation when necessary to support rapid delivery and ensure comprehensive coverage. Coordinate testing efforts across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring alignment and timely execution. Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams for resolution. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test processes and automation frameworks. Your skills and experience: 3+ years of experience in API test automation using Python (Pytest preferred). Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and in-sprint testing practices. Experience with manual testing and test case design. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially in cross-functional and global team environments. Experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar. Exposure to test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Knowledge of performance and security testing is a plus.
