Reporting to the Test Manager, this role is crucial for driving our test automation capability within Retail technology applications. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to ensure the quality and efficiency of our software delivery. This role supports flexible work practices and describes broad role responsibilities rather than detailed tasks. Key Responsibilities Implement and manage test automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and mitigate business risk. Develop, execute, and maintain robust test automation scripts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and team procedures. Consult with business and development teams to define comprehensive automation testing strategies and coverage, and automate test processes for efficient and effective software delivery. Utilise approved development methodologies for the effective management, implementation, maintenance, and support of changing applications. Document functional requirements and prepare technical and user documentation for all automation activities. Contribute to the overall test competency and strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals. Enhance the value of information provided to the business by ensuring data integrity and consistency are maintained. Drive a continuous improvement approach by identifying and recommending improvements to business processes and systems that maximize efficiencies and enhance the customer experience. Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, communicating effectively with the business and key stakeholders. Maintain regular, deliberate communication with internal customers to build a deep understanding of changing business needs and priorities. Develop strong working relationships with external providers to optimise performance and maximise the success of business objectives. What You’ll Bring to the Role Tertiary Qualification in Information Technology or relevant disciplines. A minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation preferably Tricentis Tosca . Experience and/or exposure to the retail energy industry is highly regarded. Experience across all aspects of software testing, including performance and load testing. A good working knowledge of JIRA and HP Quality Centre. Familiarity with formal testing methodologies.
