SKILLS:

  • Experience of testing Middleware and API’s using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, SoapUI, OR similar.
  • Demonstrable Experience of using testing test management & Defect Management tools like HP Quality Centre, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint or other similar tools.
  • Strong experience of working in a DevOps delivery environment and teams with exposure to Continuous integration delivery tools/environment.
  • Experience in Agile Scrum/BDD methodologies
  • Experience of using tools like Gherkin, cucumber and similar
  • Demonstrable experience of introducing or using test automation in everyday facets of test life cycle.
  • Experience in any programming language like Python (desired)
  • Experience of using any of the performance measuring tools like Jmeter, Blaze meter, Eggplant, HP LoadRunner, Grinder or similar would-be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Databases like Oracle 10g/11g or SQL server
  • JIRA, Clearcase, CVS, Win Merge, MKS
  • SQL Scripting, LDAP
  • GIT, Code Commit, GitLab (SCM)
  • Postman
  • Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
    A salary between £30,000 to 35,000 per year will be offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Define and scope testing required by analysing the requirements of a project.
  • Create test data, test cases and scripts (where required) in accordance with the project or change specifications and create remediation and resolution plans for defect management.
  • Execute testing in line with project plans and delivery milestones. This will primarily be manual testing, though a level of automated testing should be expected.
  • Support and coordinate project stakeholders undertaking User Acceptance Testing and defect retests.
  • Track and report testing activities including test case coverage, test status and results, defect details and status.
  • Demonstrable Experience of conducting Functional & Non-Functional testing using appropriate tool set.
