Description
About the role – Full-time, 12-month fixed term contract Be part of our transformation journey and join us as a Test Analyst and help shape the digital banking experience that powers our members every day. We’re on an exciting journey to bring together our products, services, and technology under one brand. As part of this transformation, our Test Analysts play a key role in delivering a seamless digital ecosystem that enhances the experience of our members and supports our vision to be a technology-enabled bank. In this role, you’ll help ensure the integrity and reliability of our payments systems - the heartbeat of our banking operations. Working closely with the Test Manager, you’ll design and execute manual and functional tests within the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), define test scopes and data for projects related to Visa and Mastercard payments, and help identify opportunities for automation and process improvement. This is a dynamic and fast-paced position where your technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset will make a real difference in how our members experience banking every day. Key responsibilities include: Design, prepare, and execute manual and automated test cases across Visa, Mastercard, and EFTPOS payment systems. Conduct end-to-end, integration, and user acceptance testing for card payments and digital banking platforms. Validate transaction processing, card issuance, and lifecycle activities in line with business and compliance requirements. Collaborate with developers and business teams to ensure test coverage, quality, and traceability of requirements. Identify and document defects, manage resolution, and maintain comprehensive test documentation. Support automation initiatives by identifying test cases suitable for regression and continuous testing. Ensure adherence to PCI DSS, APRA, and other regulatory standards within the payments environment. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, tools, and processes in an Agile delivery model. About you You will succeed in this role if you have: Strong hands-on experience in the Cards domain, ideally gained through large-scale transformation programs within a banking environment, with demonstrated experience contributing to both manual and automated testing. Experience working with core banking platforms and Card Management Systems (CMS), including building, or maintaining automation suites to validate end-to-end card flows and system integrations. Knowledge of PCI-DSS standards and regulatory compliance requirements, with experience supporting automation where feasible to validate compliance controls and reduce manual regression effort. Comfortable working with logs, backend validations, and data checks to support defect analysis. Experience working in SIT / E2E testing environments with multiple upstream and downstream dependencies Exposure to API testing & UI testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, PlayWright or similar.
