Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement quality assurance processes and testing strategies for software applications, systems software, and firmware.
• Analyse product requirements, architecture, and designs to determine appropriate testing approaches, automation frameworks, and integration activities.
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, scripts, and associated documentation.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve software defects and integration issues in partnership with development teams.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve efficiency, coverage, and product quality.
• Lead quality assurance activities within projects, ensuring delivery of reliable and cost-effective testing solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to track testing progress, communicate project status, and resolve issues.
• Represent the Quality Assurance function throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing best practices and technical expertise.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and methodologies.

About You

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

• 5+ years' experience in a QA role with strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
• Proven experience updating and maintaining enterprise-scale test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in designing, executing, and maintaining manual test cases and test suites.
• Good understanding of Quality Engineering, testing strategy, and governance.
• Experience implementing and managing testing initiatives across web, API, and desktop platforms.
• Proven experience integrating testing into Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models.
• Experience implementing AI-powered testing capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, compatibility, and exploratory testing practices.
• Excellent communication skills within enterprise environments.

Technical Expertise - MUST HAVE

• Java-based automation development using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright.
• Relational database query development using SQL, DB2, or equivalent query languages.
• CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Git.
• Cloud technologies including Azure or AWS with experience testing cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Experience working as part of a Scrum team, actively participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Experience in Stockbroking, Banking or Finance sector

• API automation using REST Assured or equivalent frameworks.
• AI-driven testing approaches including self-healing automation, AI-assisted test generation, and intelligent defect analysis.
• Contract testing (PACT), service virtualisation, and integration testing methodologies.
• Performance testing and engineering using tools such as JMeter, k6, or LoadRunner.
• Salesforce platform testing across integrated business applications.
• This specification is suitable for a SDET or Automation Tester responsible for designing and implementing quality automation excellence and AI-enabled testing practices.
