Responsibilities

TE TŪRANGA - THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join our Operations Team at Tait Communications. In this role, you will focus on answering the question: “Will it work?” by validating our products and solutions to ensure they meet the needs of our customers and operate effectively in real-world contexts.
You will play a key role in delivering innovative and reliable solutions by developing a deep understanding of our clients, products, and services. Working as part of a cross-functional team, you will identify and execute test strategies, develop new testing capabilities, and champion best practice testing methodologies.

THE DUTIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Developing a deep appreciation of our clients’ needs and operating context.
  • Broadening understanding of the lifecycle of Tait products and solutions.
  • Maintaining awareness of how test requirements evolve as business needs change.
  • Working in cross-functional teams on new and existing services, and evaluating third-party or partner products.
  • Acting as a test champion or scrum master when required.
  • Designing and implementing test strategies, using appropriate tools, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Conducting both automated and manual scripted testing.
  • Performing effective issue reporting, escalation, and advocacy.
  • Leading bug advocacy, risk management strategies, and test planning.
  • Maintaining and enhancing test facilities, tools, frameworks, and infrastructure.
  • Applying and evolving testing methodologies, heuristics, and best practices in an agile/lean environment.
