Description

At Intralot we provide the monitoring system and full operational support for the Victorian State Government for all pub and club electronic gaming machines in Victoria.

With 50 staff in Melbourne, we have established a culture that reflects our values, one where we have a reputation for a superior service and can have fun at the same time. We are also proud of our diversity: from age, gender and cultural background, we have a breadth of perspectives, knowledge and opinions.

About the role

As a Test Analyst, you will be an integral part of a high-performing testing and quality assurance team responsible for validating highly integrated, business-critical platforms.

The Gaming Monitoring platform supports critical monitoring, financial transaction processing, regulatory controls and compliance functions across more than 25,000 gaming machines throughout Victoria.

Integrated with the Monitoring platform, YourPlay is a state-wide pre-commitment solution that enables players to set limits, track their gaming activity and make more informed decisions about their play — helping foster a safer and more responsible gaming environment.

You will work across complex systems, integrations, interfaces and business processes, ensuring that solutions meet functional, technical, regulatory and operational requirements before they are introduced into a live environment.

This is a rare opportunity to work on technology with significant operational, regulatory and community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute end-to-end test plans, scenarios and test cases
  • Perform functional, non-functional, regression, system and integration testing
  • Test gaming, jackpots, loyalty, TITO, CBC, MVLJA and pre-commitment functionality
  • Test web applications and user interfaces
  • Perform API, integration and interoperability testing across integrated systems
  • Support UAT, certification and compliance testing
  • Maintain test evidence, requirements traceability and defect documentation
  • Support BAU releases, troubleshooting and technical issue investigation
  • Identify improvements across test coverage, system quality, usability, security and processes

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organisation. A positive, can-do attitude, combined with a commitment to reliability, performance, and continuous improvement, will be key to your success in this role.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • 5 years + experience as a Test Analyst
  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in software testing, quality assurance and ICT environments
  • Experience in manual and/or automated system testing, including integrated embedded systems and back-office applications
  • Experience testing web-based applications and user interfaces
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify and investigate issues to support Development teams
  • Strong understanding of communications protocols, with the ability to learn and apply gaming protocols such as QCOM, GSA and SSI
  • Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP and serial communications
  • Technical skills across Windows, Linux/UNIX, scripting and test automation tools, including Shell, Perl, Python or similar
  • Exposure to the gaming industry and regulatory environments is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Disciplined approach to processes and the ability to work collaboratively
