Project Overview
The Student Aid program is responsible for understanding and documenting the business requirements associated with the business of Student Aid. The Student Aid Information Technology Services delivery team is responsible for addressing these business requirements by designing, developing, testing, and providing maintenance support to the Students Finance System (SFS). The resource will be used for work on the SFS system which directly supports learners in getting funding for post-secondary education. The SFS system and the efforts associated with developing and maintaining this system.

To facilitate the test coordination work for this project, we seek a CL to fulfil the test coordinator duties. The resource will be assigned initially to the Student Aid program. However, this role may be reassigned to work in other business areas as required providing test coordination and test automation support.
Duties:
Candidate will establish testing approaches to effectively measure test results and provide confirmation; ensure test cases reflect the scope of business requirements and development being delivered.

Independently lead the following activities and be able to lead a team to do the following activities:

• Lead, coach and manage more junior solution testers.
• Review, evaluate and provide test input during business requirements and design specifications gathering sessions.
• Identify and communicate testing issues, implement process improvement, and issue resolution.
• Identify the target test items to be evaluated by the test effort.
• Develop and execute test plans.
• Define the appropriate tests required and any associated test data.
• Gather and manage the test data.
• Evaluate the outcome of each test cycle.
• Identify the most appropriate implementation approach for a given test.
• Implement individual tests.
• Set up and execute the tests.
• Log outcomes and verify test execution.
• Analyze and recover from execution errors.
• Track test results, statistics, metrics and status.
• Attend necessary meetings to review testing inputs/outputs and provide status updates.
• Support project team members in the analysis of issues.
• Support project teams utilizing automated testing tools

Experience and understanding of software quality assurance (QA), testing, and defect lifecycle Experience assisting in reviewing, evaluating, and providing test input during business requirements gathering and design
Experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels6
Experience maintaining traceability of test cases to requirements6 yearsyearsExperience preparing/supporting test plans and test cases
Experience preparing test data, executing tests, verifying results, and logging issues6
Experience with user acceptance testing (plan creation, status reporting, task management)
Experience as Test Coordinator/Test Lead in enterprise application development environment

Experience writing test cases from use cases, non-functional requirements, and design docs

Experience with Agile methodology
Experience with ServiceNow platform4
Experience with smoke, unit, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing
Experience working with business & AMS representatives to analyze production issues
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $35.45-$65.67 per hour
Expected hours: 7.25 per wee
