Description

LOCATION: FRANKFURT GERMANY

We are looking for an Balance and Commissioning Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, your main responsibility will be handling mission critical projects in Frankfurt Germany

Responsibilities
  • Conduct aftercare visits on completed and legacy projects, assist office staff with scheduling, and document findings through our construction management software for review by the quality and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with the aftercare, procurement, and quality departments to assess, source, and cost necessary replacement parts in accordance with the project’s aftercare policy.
  • Identify defective materials or recurring product issues, engage with suppliers to resolve defects, and communicate findings to the quality and operations teams for feedback to procurement and construction.
  • Participate in regular quality and supervisory meetings to highlight aftercare concerns and recurring challenges, helping improve quality control at the contract stage.
  • Perform commissioning tasks for various heating and ventilation systems, including air source and exhaust air heat pumps, HIUs, and electric heating systems. Training will be provided by specialist suppliers.
  • Complete pre-commissioning checks to confirm units are ready for setup, identifying and reporting outstanding work to avoid delays.
  • Balance and commission ventilation systems in houses and apartments according to design airflow specifications and finalize necessary handover documentation.
  • Work closely with ventilation validation companies to ensure system readings are accurate and immediately address any discrepancies to prevent delays in BCAR compliance.
  • Assist in coordinating and scheduling external commissioning specialists as required.
  • Support the QA and operations teams in arranging plant maintenance contracts and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-site maintenance for plant equipment, document findings via cloud-based software, and ensure reports are shared with external stakeholders.
  • Identify and document any necessary remedial work discovered during maintenance visits, ensuring the aftercare and commercial teams have accurate cost assessments for clients.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements by attending supplier and specialist training sessions.
  • Occasionally assist construction teams in troubleshooting or resolving technical issues that arise during project execution.
