The Test and Product Specification Engineering Team oversees the alignment of product specification and product test implementation for the various assembly manufacturing stages of Redlen’s CZT product suite.
Reporting to the Test and Product Specification Engineering Team Lead, this role is crucial in engaging in yield improvement activities as well as ensuring test targets are maintained for all products. The incumbent will ensure that product requirements are met via Redlen’s in-house testing, and that such testing is aligned to accurately judge the product’s capabilities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of test hardware and test software related to Redlen’s products.
  • Strong knowledge of problem solving, data analysis, and process knowledge.
  • Experience in handling, modeling, and visualizing scientific data.
  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a multifaceted role involving the above skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting software scripts, to gain direct understanding of implemented functionality.
  • Ability to complete hands-on experiments as part of responsibilities verifying and improving test specifications.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledgeable in semiconductor fabrication processes such as dicing, lapping, polishing, and metallization.
  • Experience in a manufacturing process or product engineering role
  • Experience querying SQL, PostgreSQL tabularized data sources to perform data analysis.
  • Using software tools such as MATLAB, Octave, or Python scripts to complete analysis work
  • Visualizing statistical and scientific data with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or JMP

EDUCATION:

    Salary Range: $75,000 - 100,000 CAD

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the continuous optimization of test procedures, ensuring critical metrics are captured while improving cycle time.
  • Improve test specifications at each level of product assembly to enable early detection and containment of defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis and provide insight into resolving test artifacts.
  • Support the root cause analysis of test related RMAs.
  • Support receiving, validating, and handovers of new products from the Module Development team into the Manufacturing department.
  • Support the Test Software team with developing, implementing, and improving existing test software.
  • Maintain and model a positive, professional attitude, fostering healthy working relationships at all organizational levels.
