Description Job Location: Natick, MA (Hybrid) Job Type: Full time Travel Requirement: Up to 25% Security Clearance: Secret Citizenship: US Citizens required Sherpa 6 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Test Automation Architect to join our team. We build mission critical systems for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other commercial customers. We’re looking for an experienced Test Architect that can scale our current test operation to meet the demand of our customers and new work. This person should have great attention to detail and have the desire to lead a mixed team of software development engineers in test and testers in designing and deploying test frameworks for multiple software products and tech stacks in the cloud. Our projects primarily include work involving frontend Web interfaces, Android applications and Windows applications. Sherpa 6 is constantly growing its software team, and we need a motivated individual who is excited to shape our test team and frameworks. We work on a lot of innovative software projects, so they would work to build prototypes and lead the team to solutions. Responsibilities Design and oversee the architecture of complex testing software systems, ensuring scalability and performance Lead the development of test architecture for providing quality assurance for multiple software products Interpret project requirements and use them to create architecture plans Work closely with the development team to ensure the work aligns with the architecture plans Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation Provide architecting support across multiple scrum teams and projects as needed Attend regular meetings to facilitate collaboration between engineers and across teams Work closely with teams of software developers and other engineers to ensure proper test coverage and automation Design diagrams for communicating sequence flows and component interactions Requirements Active Secret security clearance (Interim ok) 10+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience Proficiency in Java development experience Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Experience with ticketing software (Jira, Rally, etc.) Experience leading teams of engineers within the Agile framework Strong language/communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Solid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles Experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies Experience writing/running automated test scripts Experience managing teams of developers Qualities of Exceptional Candidates Front-end, back-end, or mobile application development experience of any kind Extreme, uncompromising attention to detail About Sherpa 6 At Sherpa 6 we love to solve problems and provide the best solutions for our customers. Salary Range The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels.
