WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in automated testing, ideally as a Software Developer in Test or similar role.
• Strong Python coding skills for test automation and tooling. Proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., Locust, JMeter, Gatling) and observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills in complex software environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Location: Kassel, Germany

Reports to: Director of Quality Engineering.

• You’ll be working and tracking identified issues in a SCRUM-based issue tracking system.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Research and adopt new tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Locust, k6.io) to improve test automation capabilities.
• Partner with UI testers and QA engineers to implement realistic stress and load tests, tracking performance metrics over time.
• Collaborate with DevOps to set up and maintain test environments and integrate automation into Kubernetes workflows.
• Maintain and enhance existing Python-based test automation tooling to support ongoing product evolution.
• Develop and execute API automation tests using tools like Postman to validate API functionality and performance.
• Act as a technical resource within the QA team, supporting colleagues in implementing and troubleshooting automated testing solutions.
• Advocate for testability in system design and development processes, influencing best practices across teams.
• Ensure seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for rapid and reliable software delivery.
