Purpose and Scope: We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join a cross-functional, entrepreneurial, collaborative team dedicated to solving difficult problems for our client. In this role, you will interface with customers and teams to develop and implement test plans, test cases, test data, accessibility test plans, and automated scripts for our government customers. Responsibilities: Maintain test environments and test data Help identify, document, and track application defects Leverage and maintain automated testing frameworks to analyze test results and debug failures Create and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure the on-time, high-quality delivery of the product in accordance with the project schedule Create and maintain Unit Tests and Regression Tests Provide recommendations to improve automated testing frameworks and testing processes for the team Conduct 508 testing to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements Attend requirements gathering meetings to better understand business needs, functional and system requirements Construct testing documents, including a testing plan, test cases, test data, and test scripts to ensure compliance with business requirements Collaborate with the development team to ensure successful implementation of the needed business, functional and system requirements Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments Understand, visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependencies Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity Work across stakeholders and teams to continuously improve. Participated with management and cross-functional teams as subject matter experts to develop and improve operating policies and procedures related to user workflows and be an advocate for user community. Work with stakeholders and development team to provide production support and on-call support as needed Requirements Required Qualifications: All candidates must pass public trust clearance through the U.S. Federal Government. This requires candidates to either be U.S. citizens or pass clearance through the Foreign National Government System which will require that candidates have lived within the United States for at least 3 out of the previous 5 years, have a valid and non-expired passport from their country of birth and appropriate VISA/work permit documentation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Combined 4+ years of automated and manual test experience on highly available, customer-facing web and mobile applications Experienced testing responsively designed web experiences, Experienced testing APIs; Experienced conducting User Acceptance Testing with users, collecting inputs from users, and supporting users with potential workaround. Demonstrated experience working independently as the sole testing resource on a small development team. Experience with Playwright Experience using Gitlab and CI/CD platforms Experience in AWS cloud architecture Experience conducting 508 testing Ability to coordinate test execution with internal users and stakeholders who volunteer to supplement the team in order to complete testing Experience validating internationalization requirements Experience working across multiple mobile form factors Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining technical and project related information to customer, vendors, senior management and staff. Desired Qualifications: Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an agile environment Experienced with testing tools and frameworks such as pytest, vitest, TestNG and JMeter Experience with accessibility testing tools Experience as a contractor or government employee Nice to have experience working with AccelQ Working Environment: eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone so we can work with and respond to our government clients. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager. Occasional travel for training and project meetings. It is estimated to be less than 5% per year.
