As a Test Automation Engineer at Materna

  • You will develop test automation strategies and plans for customer projects in close collaboration with the development team.
  • You advise clients on the best possible test automation practices and tools.
  • You perform automated tests and identify errors to ensure that products and applications meet requirements.
  • You integrate automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.
  • You maintain and create automated test scripts for various applications and platforms.
  • You work on agile and traditional IT projects, which may also include mobile apps.
  • You create test cases and scenarios for manual and automated tests.
  • You maintain and create regression and smoke test sets.

This is what you bring with you

  • A successfully completed degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable field, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist.
  • Solid knowledge of software testing methods and tools, including the use of test automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium or other similar tools.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python or TypeScript
  • Experience in test automation for web, mobile and desktop applications
  • Experience in conducting tests and in creating test cases and scenarios
  • Ideally, the ISTQB certificate “Certified Tester Foundation Level”
  • High degree of accuracy and conscientiousness
  • Experience with test management systems such as Xray or Zephyr
  • Very good German (C1) and good English skills (B2) in spoken and written form
