Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Test Engineer to join our team at the Smithfield and
Lemont Furnace, PA sites.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply engineering discipline and practices to development, execution, and oversight of test activities on all assigned programs.
  • Apply electrical principles in the troubleshooting of test anomalies and failures for assigned programs in support of the test technician team.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and equipment designs to aid qualification and production level functional testing of electronic devices.
  • Assist management in technical lead engineer role providing mentoring, assistance and checking of assigned Test Engineering mentees.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Electronics testing experience in defense or aerospace
  • Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure reporting experience.
  • Environmental production and qualification level testing experience including Mil-STD-810G and Mil-STD-461F.
  • Non-conformances processing experience in TIPQA or Costpoint.
  • Radio Frequency (RF) testing experience including antennas, amplifiers, and receivers.
  • DIT-MCO wire harness testing and programming experience.
