In the role of Test Engineer, you are the first point of contact in the field of testing for the internal IT team. This vacancy has arisen because after 15 years of loyal service, the current colleague is taking on a different challenge. The fact that someone has been in the same place for 15 years shows how pleasant and challenging this role and employer is!

Your job is to draw up the test plans, map out the test strategy and monitor progress. You actively think along with the development team about new functionalities, impact and testing approach. You help colleagues in their daily work and before new products or features are finally rolled out, they come to you for a functional test, user test or critical review. You act as a sparring partner for numerous internal stakeholders; from management to software developer. You ask critical questions, challenge people and dare to develop new initiatives; for example, the integration of AI within testing. You keep an eye on new trends & developments and do not hesitate to explore and implement them further.

In terms of testing, you are not alone because another Test Engineer also works here, someone with several years of experience. As a more experienced professional, you take this under your wing and manage it. You will of course also be involved in the work hands-on and you will, among other things, work on (further) automating the regression tests. Cypress was mainly used here, but Playwright was also recently started. Experience with (1 of) these techniques is therefore highly desirable. This is a vacancy where you can grow, where you can take new steps and where you can therefore occupy the position of 'lead/initiator' without actually taking this experience with you.
