PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & LOGISTICS:

• Physical capability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs
• Flexibility for occasional travel and shift work to support program objectives
  Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced Technical Skills

• Electrochemical characterization expertise including dQ/dV analysis and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS)
• Experience in lithium-ion abuse testing such as UN38.3 compliance tests and DO-311A safety tests
• SolidWorks Electrical proficiency or similar tools for schematic design and wiring diagrams

INDUSTRY & REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE

• FAA certification experience with aircraft systems and components
• Battery safety and failure mode analysis background
• Quality management system experience in regulated industries
• Startup or emerging technology company experience valued

Location

• Applicants must be willing and able to commute to magniX’s location in Everett, Washington.
• Applicants must be willing and able to travel to offsite test facilities in different locations within the state and/or country.

  This position’s approximate base salary range is $120,000-$140,000 annually.
  This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. Under §120.15, a “U.S. Person” includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees. As this position requires access to export-controlled data, an appropriate export authorization by the U.S. Government may be required prior to such access. ABOUT THE ROLE

Join magniX as an ESS Test Engineer and play a pivotal role in advancing electric aviation through cutting-edge lithium-ion battery technology. You’ll lead comprehensive testing programs for Energy Storage Systems, from individual cell characterization to full-scale integrated battery systems, supporting the development of next-generation electric aircraft propulsion. This position reports directly to the Test Engineer Manager.
