Description
Description Location: Huntsville, AL Position Summary: The Test Engineer is a part of the Test Engineering Team at the Huntsville Factory. Primarily, this position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of test software and hardware. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop, implement and maintain test software and hardware. Create and implement procedures for in-circuit test (ICT) and end-of-line test (EOLT) equipment. Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions for test equipment. Repair and perform preventative maintenance on test equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics. Test, rework, and debug Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) down to the component level. All other duties as assigned by management to ensure the success of Futaba. Experience and Educational Requirements: BSEE or related field of study required. 0-3 years related experience and/or training; specifically reading and comprehending schematics incorporating digital, analog and power circuits. 0-3 years’ experience with In-circuit test (ICT) and end-of-line test (EOLT) equipment. Proficiency with programming in C, C++, Visual Basic, and/or Lab View languages; Windows (98, XP, 7, 8) and Linux platforms; MySQL servers. Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook. Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements: Reading Comprehension: Ability to read, comprehend and interpret electrical schematics. Verbal communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and management. Ability to perform multiple tasks and one time and switch between tasks quickly. Soldering capabilities through hole and surface mount components. Ability to work well in a team environment and independently. Responsibilities
