Position Summary: The Test Engineer is responsible for working with software engineers on advanced concepts and prototypes. Works independently and can work effectively as a key part of a small team in a very fast-paced environment.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, and/or experience with testing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience testing software
  • MRI technology, medicine or life sciences background
  • Experience refining test platforms and processes to reduce time and cost
  • Strong attention to detail
  • General characteristics needed for success in position:
  • Experience in an ISO-certified environment
  • Experience in medical imaging field, preferably MRI
  • Imaging processing
  • Strong inter-personal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Demonstrated good analytical skills, problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with developers and/or program manager to troubleshoot failures or triage to the appropriate level
  • Develop and execute system integration and test functional testing and development test and evaluation testing toward the verification of software and system level requirements
  • Installation and configuration of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Create image-based backups and clones
  • Manage task assignments and track project status
  • Execute automated/manual test procedures and regression tests, capture appropriate test artifacts, identify problems and document results via defect reports
  • Track test execution and reporting issues
  • Other duties as assigned
