  Job Title:  Test Technician                                          Reports To:  Production Manager   Summary: The Test Technician is responsible for identifying and applying test procedures to ensure product quality. As a Test Technician, you will be required to assess the functionality and feasibility of computer hardware and software to ensure that any flaws in the system are eradicated in order to provide product excellence prior to sales. Job Responsibilities: 1. Identifying products to be assessed in the software review process 2. Defining the appropriate test to be carried out including the test data to be used 3. Managing the test data by documenting the results of each test cycle to identify flaws 4. Liaising with the software development team 5. Running diagnostic and system testing and presenting the information to the relevant stakeholders 6. Interacting with and coordinating the development and validation team and ensuring that effective communication takes place 7. Identifying and eliminating redundant functions and components 8. Improving knowledge of business applications and user needs and expectations 9. Understanding and implementing industry standards and protocols 10. Performs other related duties as required   Requirements: 1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in test analysis/engineering 2. A proven record of experience working with computer software and coding 3. Knowledge of software development 4. Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills 5. Experience in test techniques and programming 6. Above-average planning and organizational skills and attention to detail 7. The ability to track and write articulate reports on technical assessments 8. Efficient planning skills and an ability to adhere to deadlines 9. Previous experience using PLC studio 5000  10. Ability to read controls electrical and pneumatic prints  11. Ability to safely make 480VAC, 120AC and ethernet connections for tests 12. Minor mechanical skills such as removing VFD covers and aligning switches   Work Environment: This position operates in a plant and shop environment.   Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. May be required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. Expected Hours of Work: This position regularly requires daily overtime hours and frequent weekend work.
