We are a rapidly growing physical testing laboratory specialising in the approval testing of respiratory protective equipment (RPE). Our work ensures that life-saving products meet European and international standards, giving confidence to manufacturers, regulators, and end-users worldwide.
We are now looking to recruit a Test Engineer to join our expanding technical team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong practical and analytical skills who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Test Engineer, you will carry out laboratory-based testing of respiratory protective equipment, working to international standards and strict quality procedures. You will be involved in the full test process — from preparing equipment and setting up rigs to recording results and producing clear reports. This role is critical in supporting the delivery of projects on time, to specification, and in compliance with accreditation requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct physical and performance testing of respiratory protective equipment to relevant international standards (e.g., EN, ISO).
  • Set up, operate, and maintain specialist test equipment and rigs.
  • Accurately record, analyse, and interpret test data.
  • Work in accordance with internal quality management systems (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).
  • Assist in the calibration and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of new testing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered to deadlines and client requirements.
