Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Test Engineer you will be working within an eco-system of squads under Sage Experience Platform umbrella and the Business at large to deliver Sage Experience Platform capabilities.
The Test Engineer is viewed as an effective contributor and an integral resource on a highly responsive software development team. You will be an advocate of QA best practices and will be able to plan, estimate and execute all testing required as part of the SDLC within their team. You will be able to clearly and confidently communicate testing processes and metrics with all colleagues and stakeholders.
What we are looking for
- Someone with up to 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance roles.
- Someone with excellent communication skills who can work with multiple disciplines, and confidently provide updates to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Someone with experience of manual testing of back end systems and front end UI.
Responsibilities:
What you will be doing:
- Work within a multi-discipline squad to facilitate the delivery of features and maintenance objectives.
- Participate in the planning, maintenance and execution of test cases.
- Manage all defects raised within squad and support other squads with regard to defect resolution.
- Be involved in all stages of the SDLC, championing QA input and best practices throughout.
- Be a proactive member of a QA community, sharing best practices and innovation amongst colleagues.
- Work with automation tooling to provide test coverage; working alongside a dedicated automation team to plan, execute and maintain regression suites.
- Back End testing of API’s within Sage Experience Platform architecture
- Front End testing of features delivered by Sage Experience Platform
- Creating and Maintaining automation framework within Squad
- Accessibility testing of UI features within Squad, ensuring our UI adheres to all mandated Accessibility standards
- Carry out such tasks as directed to meet the needs of the business
