This is an on-site position located in Goleta, CA. Toyon Research Corporation is an industry leader in the areas of complex space and missile systems analysis, aerothermodynamics, design and development, and ground and flight testing. Our Aerospace Systems Group provides innovative technical solutions to support aerospace programs for the Department of Defense (DoD) and their agencies. We are seeking a Test Engineer to join our team. This position requires a strong background in planning and conducting developmental and environmental testing. This position will be responsible for test planning and execution, analysis of test data, and authoring test reports. Responsibilities Develop complex test campaigns to assess the performance and integrity of products Design and build test fixtures Write test procedures and protocols Plan and conduct test campaigns at in-house or remote facilities Author test reports communicating test activities, results and success / failure of products Debug complex test hardware and software Analyze test cases and scenarios and report results Collaborate with engineering team to improve or upgrade product performance Communicate with external test facilities to plan and schedule test activities Conduct cost forecasting analysis for materials and labor of testing units Requirements Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on heat transfer,mechanical design, and structural analysis 7+ years of industry experience with aerospace testing facilities and techniques, thermal andstructural response instrumentation, and development and execution of test plans, includingspecialized instrumentation Strong interpersonal skills required to interface effectively with test facility personnel Ability to work independently at off-site test facilities, making decisions that can be critical toprogram success WE OFFER AN EXCEPTIONAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE!
