Description

How do you make our customers happy?

As a QA Test Engineer, you ensure that our customers can count on a reliable and smoothly functioning e-commerce platform. You critically test new functionalities, identify risks early, and help the team to structurally improve quality. In doing so, you contribute directly to an optimal online customer experience.

The challenge

Our platform is continuously evolving. New functionalities, improvements, and changes require a keen eye for quality. You ensure that requirements are testable, that functionalities do what they are supposed to do, and that releases can go live with confidence.

You work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. In doing so, you combine manual testing with the further development of test automation within the existing framework. You contribute ideas not only regarding what needs to be tested but also on how we can structure our testing process more intelligently and efficiently.

What are you going to do?

Specifically, you are going to;

  • Drafting and executing test plans, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Testing new and existing functionalities, both manually and automatically.
  • Performing regression tests to ensure the stability of the platform.
  • Identifying, documenting, and analyzing defects and test results.
  • Contribute ideas regarding test coverage, quality risks, and improvements in the development process.
  • Expanding and maintaining automated tests within the existing test framework.
  • Collaborating with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders within a Scrum team.
  • Providing substantiated quality advice prior to releases.

Why you make the difference

You are critical, accurate, and curious. You see details that others might miss, but also keep the bigger picture in mind: a reliable experience for our customers. You communicate clearly about risks and findings and enjoy collaborating to find a good solution.

In addition, bring:

  • Experience with software testing, for example within a web, e-commerce, or digital environment.
  • Experience with developing reproducible test scenarios and documenting findings.
  • Knowledge of manual testing and interest in or experience with test automation.
  • Preferably experience with PlayWritght or a similar test automation framework.
  • Basic knowledge of Git and branching models.
  • Experience with agile and scrum methodologies.
  • A structured, proactive, and result-oriented way of working.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
