Job Overview:
All-Star Personnel
is currently hiring a Test Engineering Technician for a leading electronics manufacturer located in La Vergne, TN. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in hardware testing, electronics troubleshooting, and production support. The technician will play a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving test issues in support of quality and production goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing or hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware, test processes, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with Linux OS is a plus.
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly with engineering and quality teams.

TECHNICAL & SOFT SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, root cause analysis, and quality improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to process and quality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to lift and maneuver servers (up to 25 lbs) in/out of test racks.
  • Comfortable standing or walking on concrete floors for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop during equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Willing to operate a scissor lift and work in a range of temperature and noise conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for test hardware and software in a production environment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair testing systems to minimize downtime and optimize workflow.
  • Work with engineers to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Analyze failure data and recommend improvements for product quality and reliability.
  • Develop and execute test plans; document results and assist with root cause analysis.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) test processes and pilot builds.
  • Set up and maintain test lines and perform routine preventive maintenance.
  • Train production staff on testing and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of test engineering spare parts.
  • Follow engineering best practices for maintaining and enhancing test processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, ESD, and housekeeping policies.
