The Test Engineering Technician supports manufacturing and engineering teams by developing, executing, and maintaining test processes for sensors, heaters, and related products. This role includes performing product testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of test equipment, as well as documenting processes, analyzing data, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The technician also assists in training production staff on test-related procedures and ensures compliance with company standards.

DESIRED SKILLS;

  • Associate’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical training).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing of sensors, heaters, or similar products (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in using test and calibration equipment, fixtures, and tools.
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation, training materials, and reports.
  • Working knowledge of functional testing and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with soldering, brazing, or related assembly processes (preferred).

Responsibilities
  • Set up, execute, and document tests on new and existing products.
  • Troubleshoot test and manufacturing equipment; perform rework/repairs when necessary.
  • Calibrate test devices and maintain test equipment integrity.
  • Assemble fixtures for test setups and assemblies.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze test data; recommend corrective actions for deficiencies.
  • Support development of automated test procedures and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards through inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve testability of new products and processes.
  • Train and provide technical guidance to assembly and test operators.
  • Support continuous improvement projects, life cycle testing, and documentation updates.
