  • Test Lead - Fixed Term (2 Years)
  • Exciting Opportunity for a Seasoned Test Lead to Drive Testing Across a Major Technology Program
    We are seeking a highly skilled Test Lead to coordinate and execute testing for an extensive, technology-driven program of work. This role will involve both Functional and Non-Functional Testing, with a strong focus on load testing, performance testing, and failover/disaster recovery.
    As a Test Lead within our IT Enterprise Testing Services team, you will be responsible for the full scope of testing activities across a large-scale Payments Operations Program. This initiative aims to establish a secure, stable and efficient payments system. The end goal is to have a highly resilient payment and banking services

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience working in the banking sector with good understating of RITS & RTGS.
  • Analyse payment operation process flows.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience across all phases of testing in an Agile environment.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, or similar, ensuring seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Execute automated tests, analyse results, and collaborate with development teams to improve test coverage, identify defects, and enhance software quality. Plan and execute testing related deliverables (test plan, test cases) across various test levels that include both functional and non-functional testing.
  • Develop and maintain testing artefacts including test cases, test scenarios, test reporting, progress reporting, as appropriate.
  • Ensure test planning, managing daily activities, interact with system & business owners for project needs.
  • Proven IT Infrastructure experience and working knowledge of IT Infrastructure integration, configuration, backup, and restore procedures.
  • Work with SME’s, Business Analysts & System analysts to identify gaps in the requirements.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of testing documentation & attain sign off in different stages of project.
  • Good understanding of infrastructure security testing to analyse the system vulnerabilities to raise defect & work with different team till issues are resolved.
  • Manage defect logs & participate in defect review meetings to provide status updates.
  • Work with business teams to review UAT validation scenarios and document test results then capture the sign offs.

This is a two-year fixed term engagement.
Your Background:
Extensive experience working on large programs as a Test Lead and ideally having experience on payments platforms
12years + of experience in planning and executing all aspects of Functional and Non-Functional Testing, ideally in the Banking space and on payment systems

Proven ability to deliver comprehensive test plans and ensure successful execution in complex, high-stakes environments while collaborating with teams to define and implement effective test strategies.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and coordinate testing activities across teams.
  • Knowledge of structured test management methodologies, ensuring adherence to internal frameworks, processes, and best practices for effectively managing all Testing and QA aspects of the program.
  • Experience working with Test Manager to develop and maintain functional test plans, in collaboration with Project Managers, Service Providers, and key stakeholders.
  • Expertise in identifying and managing testing risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring their timely implementation while measuring effectiveness.
  • Extensive testing experience across various methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence, and partner effectively with key stakeholders both within the organization and externally.
  • Strong experience in developing test documents such as Test Plans and Test Summary Reports document from scratch for large scale projects.

    Technical Capabilities:

  • Establish and enforce best practices for testing to ensure high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Strong experience in developing and implementing, Test plans, approaches and testing processes for User Acceptance and E2E testing, including non-functional (e.g., infrastructure, network, security and fail over testing).
  • Proven experience building team rapport and creating opportunities to facilitate collaboration within the team.
  • Experience in test management tools such as JIRA and QMetry.
  • Strong networking capability: demonstrated experience building networks of influence to support project outcomes.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders.
