Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Test lead to lead the testing efforts for a large-scale program. This role requires proficient project management skills to coordinate testing activities between SimCorp, the client, and various stakeholders. The identified candidate will be supported by experts from V&T, Business Services, and the Front Office stream in designing and developing test cases. This role partners with the client test lead to ensure effective delivery of testing.
What you will be responsible for
Your duties include but will not be limited to:

Test Planning and Strategy Development

  • Develop Comprehensive Test Strategies: Create detailed test strategies and plans that align with project objectives, considering factors like project size, complexity, and critical areas.
  • Define Scope and Objectives: Clearly outline the scope of testing activities, ensuring alignment with overall project goals.
  • Select Appropriate Test Methods and Tools: Determine the most suitable test methods and tools for the project, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the software.
  • Test Standards: Follow established test standards and ensure consultants, customer and stakeholders adhere to agreed standards.

Project Management

  • Coordinate Testing Activities: Manage the coordination of testing between SimCorp and the client, ensuring seamless execution of different drops and Business Unit Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing phases.
  • Manage Testing Scope and Timelines: Oversee testing scope, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient testing processes.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on testing progress and challenges to key stakeholders.

Data and Environment Setup

  • Ensure Data Availability: Confirm that Data Management data (security master & prices) is available and correctly configured in the test environment.
  • Data Migration and Reconciliation: Oversee verification of accurate data migration and reconciliation in the test environment to ensure data integrity.
  • Configuration and Parameterization: Confirm the completion of configuration/parameterization tasks and ensure timely movement to the correct test environment.

Infrastructure and Access Management

  • Establish Connectivity: Ensure connectivity to the test environment is established for all necessary stakeholders.
  • User Access Setup: Ensure user access for testers to execute tests has been established, ensuring that all users have the required permissions.

Defect Management

  • Bug Recording and Tracking: Record and track bugs identified during testing, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation strategies are implemented.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Lead and Manage Test Teams: Provide leadership, advice, guidance, and support to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of test analysts.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various teams (V&T, Business Services, Front Office) to align testing activities with project objectives and ensure effective communication.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

  • Identify Potential Risks: Assess potential risks and uncertainties associated with testing activities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Regular Risk Reassessment: Continuously reassess risks throughout the project to adapt strategies based on changing circumstances.
