About the role
We’re seeking a Test Lead to implement Testing Strategies, develop and execute Test Plans and Test Cases to provide production implementation confidence of new software as well as changes to existing software processes that have been tested and accepted in line with required Project / BAU requirements for Core Tolling Platform / Customer Platforms

Day-to-day, you will:
-

Perform end to end Test Execution 40-60% of the time

  • Become an SME tester in the platform
  • Provide strategic direction, undertake planning, scope the testing required, estimate the effort and duration of testing, and determine resource and environment requirements.
  • Undertake hands-on test scripting and execution and to be proactively involved in the continual maturity of the Transurban test automation capability.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to engage in testing activities.
  • Document, implement, monitor, and enforce all processes and procedures for testing established as per standards defined within the Enterprise Test Strategy.
  • Resource planning and ongoing management of team structure.
  • Provide accurate estimates for all project testing activities across different delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, V-Model).
  • Hands on testing: Create Test Scenarios, Test Cases, Test Data based on Project / BAU requirements or agreed Test Targets.
  • Management and Leading of teams both on and/or off shore
  • Create and support Test Automation team with the creation of Test Harness, Stubs, Test Data for all test types.
  • Ensure Testing produces the highest quality of Platform solutions and key risks, defects, performance gaps are highlighted and mitigated.
  • Engage/interact with 3rd party vendors in testing to ensure delivery as per design specifications and governance processes.
  • Liaise with Security in the provisioning of Cyber Testing (Penetration Testing) and ensuring escalation and prioritisation of remediating any potential security risks.

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
-

Tertiary education - Bachelor Computing/Engineering/Science /Technology or equivalent full-time industry experience

  • Proven Test Lead experience in large complex transformation projects.
  • Possess in-depth experience in all areas of the SDLC/STLC
  • Strong Software testing background with experience in all test levels, various Testing Methodologies (Agile, V-Model, Waterfall and Hybrid)
  • Strong analytic, innovative and strategic thinking competencies are required to develop solutions that add value while balancing that potential value against the risks with changing these mission-critical systems.
  • Extensive Testing & Test Leadership experience with several 3rd parties & co-dep systems
  • Experience in testing API’s and use of XML and JSON data inputs
  • Experience working with Testing tools and technology ALM, JIRA/Confluence.
  • People leadership experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
