QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience in validation, verification, testing, and requirements analysis
  • Experience programming in C# and Python languages

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as GIT, SubVersion (SVN) or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and address issues.
  • Experience with automating the use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, or other equipment
  • Work in an agile environment (SAFe)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools suite
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, integration, regression, performance, etc.) and best practices
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools.
  • Attention to detail to identify and document any anomalies or inconsistencies in software performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively report defects, progress, and test results to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and\or experience in multi-threaded embedded application software engineering development and integration
  • Comfortable working with languages such as C, C++, and Java
  • Experience working in a Linux development environment

The Communication Systems directorate makes some of the most cutting-edge products across the enterprise and the software group plays a very large role. We develop innovative solutions that keep our military members safe, connected, and informed. Our team has some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry and work with all the most recent technologies in embedded software development.
As a Software Test Engineer II in this organization, you will support the development of state-of-the-art communications systems to support UAVs, fighter jets, aircraft carriers, and ground vehicles. Examples would include advanced satellite communications, cryptography and state-of-the-art embedded computing architectures. We build robust networks that implement low latency and high throughput communications that include anti-jamming capabilities, mobile adhoc features and IP connectivity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • YOU will design, create, and integrate software test solutions for our military communication products and various test equipment which would include the following efforts:
  • YOU will analyze and understand software requirements to ensure testability
  • YOU will develop clear and concise test objectives that guide the testing process and ensure comprehensive coverage
  • YOU will write software for both manual and automated test cases
  • YOU will conduct testing of new and modified software
  • YOU will analyze test results for failures and discrepancies
  • YOU will work closely with other test engineers and product developers to ensure correct integration and functionality of our software products
