Position Description: Test Technician The Test Technician at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for implementing appropriate test methods, utilizing necessary test equipment, implementing test procedures and software, and providing a lead role in the testing of newly developed products and standard production testing. The Test Technician will operate on all types of test instruments and will have limited supervision. LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. is looking for an intelligent, detail-oriented, dependable worker with excellent documentation skills to join our team. Primary Duties: Inspection and testing of electrical/electronic power equipment, transformers, and circuit breakers. Troubleshooting of AC and DC power and control circuits up to 480V Perform occasional repairs of control, power and fiber optic assembly, crimping and routing Programming electronic devices, interfacing with computers and programs on computers. Completing test reports and documentation using a computer, keyboard, and paperwork. Manipulating objects, tools and controls Includes standing for extended periods of time, as well as reaching, bending and kneeling Experience & Skills: Proficient with Voltmeter and current meter Read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Experience using hand tools Proficient with Voltmeter and current meter Experience with use and maintenance of electrical PPE Experience with Lock-out/Tag-out and other standard electrical safety procedures Computer experience; Excel, Word, file manipulation Experience with electrical parts assembly and/or wiring preferred Electrical troubleshooting of electrical components and electronics Use of measurement tools Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
