Description
Overview Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team in Warren, MI. The laboratory’s capabilities span climatic and environmental simulation, fuels and fluids testing, polymer and composite analysis, materials testing, corrosion, vibration, hydraulic and dynamics testing, and advanced hybrid and electric vehicle battery testing. Responsibilities Prepares test samples for testing Performs tests as directed by customer specifications Interacts periodically with customers Gathers and records test data, provide updates to customer via email Works closely with senior test technicians and engineers for support on large test programs Constructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervision Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safety HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed Basic understanding of testing concepts/specifications Possess computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Physical Demands: Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate) Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically #LI-TF1 Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
