Description JOB SUMMARY: In this role, you will be responsible for performing and recording the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of components, assemblies, and final product as stated in test specifications and procedures. This position performs work of medium to high complexity. Successful test technicians are self-motivated and must be able to use calibrated equipment and fixtures to perform testing to determine failure mode or validate operations prior to product acceptance. Additional skills required to be successful in this position are the ability to use and interpret manufacturing drawings, service manuals, parts books, and work instructions to perform testing or address any technical questions which may arise. RESPONSIBILTIES: · Performs testing processes on a variety of equipment (components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies) to approved documented test specifications and procedures. · Record test data in formats and provides results to manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams. Ensure all required reports and records are completed and maintained for the work performed. (i.e. Quality Plans, ITPs, router, inspection reports, etc.) · Assists technical teams with recommendations and troubleshooting to resolve testing problems, roadblocks or equipment malfunctions that impact the performance or validity of testing. · Proper logging of time on router operations (through scanners and input stations) at all times to ensure proper costing is assigned to each job. · Verify all work prior to releasing the product for further processing. · Assure adherence to all company safety policies and improve safety performance (i.e. JSA’s). · Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation. · Ensure maintained awareness of the Quality Management System, its documentation, and awareness of the employee’s role in supporting the Quality Policy. Other duties as assigned. Requirements SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: · Understanding and ability to set up test equipment for safe operation. · General hand tool usage. · Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbal and written. · Demonstrated ability to use various types of inspection tools. · Ability to read, interpret, and comprehend manufacturing drawings, schematics, specifications, and written/verbal instructions. · Proficient English reading level to understand technical terminology used within the company; · Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. · Ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as Epicor, Vault and drawing-viewing programs · Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; · Ability to work independently being proactive to resolve work issues or notify supervisor of resources needed; · Ability to coordinate with other employees and as part of a team. Be able understand and comprehend quality system and HSE procedures, work instructions, and process mapping to support ISO and API requirements. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: · High school diploma or equivalent education. · 3+ years’ experience in cylinder manufacturing (repair or new manufacturing) · Strong mechanical background and knowledge of all Cylinder components to include seal identification and tolerances General hydraulic knowledge
