Description
The Tester is responsible for performing a variety of test functions at high voltage and maintain records. In this role, you will perform basic tests to complicated experimental prototype tests on electronic control systems, as well as mechanical and electrical systems on standard and special products. In this function, you will: Troubleshoot operational problems and make repairs; both electrical and mechanical. Assist and instruct other Tester/Assemblers in troubleshooting unit malfunctions, and make adjustments accordingly using judgement to determine sequence, methods, etc. Interact with supervision in maintaining workflow and interact with other departments as needed for advice and decisions. Perform assembly functions. Operate hoist and/or crane. Follow established working procedures. Be responsible for own work, under minimal supervision and instructions. Keep work area clean and orderly and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Minimum 1 years of experience working in testing electronic/microprocessor controls. Experience with reading and using schematics for wiring, drawings, routings, blueprints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents affecting this position. Experience operating testing equipment or electrical systems. Must be able to walk/stand for 8 hours shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
