Job Description: Position’s Summary Location: Ottobrunn, Germany Duration: Part-Time (35 Hrs.) Contract: Unlimited Reports to: Head of NDT Engineering Number of openings: 1 About Project Engineer (m/f/d) in M&P (Material and Processes) Directly working on the customer’s facilities, you will join a dynamic team working closely together in a hydrogen gas sensors laboratory. The position offers a collaborative environment where technique, creativity and precision are highly valued. Your Tasks Independently manage and execute (sub-)projects in collaboration with relevant departments. Analyze and evaluate test results against process instructions, standards, product/test specifications, and technical reports. Experience hydrogen gas sensor benchmarking for space and/or automotive applications. Support the planning and execution of test programs, including necessary laboratory work. Plan and conduct rig tests according to standard or customer specific test specifications, in close coordination with the customer. Discuss and, if necessary, adapt the test set-up in agreement with the customer. Ensure the operational readiness, maintenance, and calibration of testing facilities and laboratory equipment. What we look for Completed Master's degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Engineering, Precision and Micro Technology, Materials Science, or a comparable field. Professional experience in areas such as surface treatment, coatings, product safety, chemistry, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry, is an advantage. Knowledge of hazardous substances law and chemicals legislation (GHS, GefStoffV, TRGS), as well as materials and chemicals legislation (REACH, TSCA, and related legal areas). Proficient handling of research and laboratory facilities and their processes, adhering to known and relevant legal regulations. Understanding of gas detection methodologies, available detection technologies and their advantages and drawback Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
