Your role
Are you passionate about testing and improving advanced robotics systems? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where your ideas directly shape the product? At Voliro, we are redefining aerial work with cutting-edge drone technology—and we’re looking for a Testing and Integration Engineer to help take our platform, Voliro T, to the next level.
In this role, you’ll become the go-to person for system-level testing across our entire stack—from embedded devices and onboard Linux systems to cloud-connected workflows. You’ll design manual test procedures, help build and maintain our automated testing infrastructure, and play a critical role in evaluating new hardware and software components. Your work will directly impact our release quality, platform stability, and development velocity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own testing across the full platform stack, from low-level embedded components to high-level system behavior.
  • Develop and maintain a manual test suite, creating test procedures ("test cards") to validate features, performance, and stability.
  • Work with the software team to build a flexible automated testing framework that simulates real-world use cases and integrates with our CI pipelines.
  • Ensure test coverage for multiple release conditions: pull request validation, release candidates, and post-deployment testing.
  • Investigate bugs across software and hardware boundaries; lead first-level diagnostics and document findings for deeper triage or fixes.
  • Support evaluation of new hardware and software, helping assess readiness and compatibility with our existing platform.
  • Contribute to small features and bug fixes, collaborating with other engineers and gaining deep knowledge of our architecture.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong systems thinking and an eye for end-to-end quality in complex embedded platforms.
  • Experience designing and executing manual and automated test plans for embedded or robotics systems.
  • Solid programming skills in Python and C++, especially in the context of automation and embedded development.
  • Comfortable working with Linux-based embedded devices and understanding core system components like networking, logging, and daemons.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated testing pipelines.
  • Proactive, organized, and not afraid to dive into hardware setups or troubleshoot complex bugs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience with robotics systems, drones, or other real-time embedded devices.
  • Familiarity with RTOS-based systems and their specific debugging/testing challenges.
  • Prior work with hardware-in-the-loop or simulation-based testing environments.
  • Background in release engineering or managing QA processes for hardware/software products.

Benefits
Voliro is an opportunity for you to join a team at the forefront of the robotics industry, a team of pioneers and enthusiasts. You will leverage your experience in a dynamic and multidisciplinary working environment and grow together with Voliro. Innovation is our driver and customer excellence is our mission. We cultivate a transparent, motivating, and progressive company culture. You will get 25 vacation days per year, flexible work hours, and unlimited amounts of high-quality espresso.
Your application
