JOB DESCRIPTION

Role – Craft Team Member (Mechanical)
Contractual Hours - 42 Hours Per Week
Pattern of Work - Days (Monday – Friday)
Hours – Mon-Thurs 7am to 4pm, Friday 7am to 1pm
What You’ll Be DoingWe’re looking for a dedicated Team Member to join us at our Scunthorpe site, supporting the Testing Solutions Department. Your key focus will be on maintaining, servicing and repairing the assets located within our Analytical & Mechanical Testing facilities located across Scunthorpe site, operating to high standards of customer service and health & safety.
As part of a small team of skilled craft, you’ll work under the direct supervision of the Craft Team Leader & Departmental Engineer in order to maintain the required level of asset availability supporting Testing Operations.
You’ll use your expertise to tackle engineering, quality and safety challenges as they arise, quickly responding to issues and initiating corrective actions to keep things running smoothly.
You’ll also be responsible for recording your work activities and using the appropriate information systems to track progress and maintain accurate records.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To be considered for this role, you’ll need at least an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), or a recognized apprenticeship*.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience in maintenance, fault-finding, or related technical work within a commercial or engineering environment. A key part of the role is adapting to new equipment, so flexibility and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.
Knowledge and proven experience to maintain and competently diagnose root cause faults on CNC/ PLC controlled equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
*Certificate evidence will be required.
