This Position reports to: Quality Manager Your role and responsibilities ABB s.r.o., Electro-Praga business unit in Jablonec nad Nisou, is a company with a long tradition, specializing in the production of electrical installation equipment – primarily switches, sockets, and accessories for residential and industrial applications. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team as a Testing & Lab Specialist. - Work model: onsite Performing control tests of mass-produced products from the ABB EPJ portfolio according to the established plan Conducting information tests based on requests from other departments (alternative materials, components, or product/design changes) Cooperating with the R&D department in prototype, development, and verification testing Performing tests according to test specifications, technical standards, and internal/external requirements (ABB, ČSN, IEC) Communicating test results and findings with other departments (R&D, Engineering, Purchasing) Designing and creating test fixtures and participating in the maintenance of testing equipment Ensuring compliance of CZEPJ products and materials used with European regulations (REACH, RoHS, WEEE) and managing related documentation (declarations, datasheets) Conducting internal audits (process and production audits) according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards Actively contributing to continuous process improvement Qualifications for the Role Minimum secondary technical education (electrical field) Electrical qualification §6 (“Electrical Technician”) according to Act No. 250/2021 and Government Decree No. 194/2022, LV area Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAP is an advantage English (level B1) – for email communication, technical documentation, standards, and test report preparation Knowledge of EU directives and regulations such as RoHS and REACH, including related legal requirements and manufacturer obligations for electrical products Understanding of basic quality tools (SPC, Poka-Yoke, cause-and-effect analysis) Ability to read and work with technical drawings and 3D data/models Internal auditor certification or experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 systems – an advantage Accuracy, responsibility, proactive approach, ability to work independently as well as in a team, manual dexterity Experience in a manufacturing company – an advantage Benefits From well-being to retirement, ABB offers benefits that support every stage of your career.
