  • Ability to work as a vital team member to problem solve with other departments and campus staff as needed.
  • Must be detail oriented and customer/client focused.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
  • Must lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record that meets the requirements of the district.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY :

Responsible for working with various departments to implement federal, state, and locally mandated testing including the following: State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR); State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness Alternate (STAAR Alternate 2); and the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) for North East Independent School District. Assists the District Test Coordinator in the planning, administration, and interpretation of the testing programs for NEISD. Helps to ensure District compliance with all aspects of the state mandated testing program including, but not limited to, norm-referenced achievement and abilities tests.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Works directly with Campus Test Coordinators (CTC’s) to support state and district assessment programs.
  2. Works with the NEISD Gifted and Talented Department and elementary campuses regarding the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) administration and responsibilities.
  3. Works with the Special Education Department to identify STAAR Alternate 2 testers and meet state deadline to identify students in state testing program.
  4. Works with STAAR Alternate 2 test administration team to perform quality assurance checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  5. Responsible for management of the NEISD Testing Warehouse.
  6. Responsible for creating a yearly pick-up/delivery schedule for the General Warehouse and Print Services Managers to use during specific state assessments.
  7. Responsible for receiving secure test materials from state contractors and other test vendors, inventory and verify quantities of materials are received and secured in a locked location.
  8. Responsible to “pull” additional testing material orders for delivery and campus pick-up if applicable.
  9. Responsible to assist Campus Test Coordinators with materials/supplies needed for online testing—online testing carrels, mice, power surges, etc.
  10. Scans (counts) and inventories the return of secure test materials from campuses with Temporary Hires. Readies the shipment of materials to designated contractors.
  11. Ability to analyze and find discrepancies in the security listings sent by the testing vendor and communicate concerns to customer service representative to obtain required information.
  12. Ability to research and find required information on the vendor websites.
  13. Maintains confidentiality of information.
  14. Reports to work on time every day.
  15. Performs additional duties and accepts other responsibilities as may be assigned.
