OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Processor to join our dynamic team in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the loan processing cycle from application to closing, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. This role requires a strong understanding of loan origination, underwriting processes, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with loan officers, clients, and other stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in loan processing or related financial services roles.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and mortgage servicing practices.
  • Previous experience as a loan officer is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of banking operations and regulations governing loans.
  • Proficient in using relevant software applications for loan processing tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Responsibilities
  • Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct credit analysis to assess borrower eligibility and risk.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and TILA guidelines throughout the loan process.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to gather necessary documentation and resolve any issues that arise during processing.
  • Prepare and review contracts, disclosures, and other necessary documentation for accuracy.
  • Manage the escrow process, ensuring timely completion of all required tasks.
  • Utilize FNMA guidelines to ensure loans meet all necessary requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to each loan application.
  • Perform basic math calculations as needed throughout the processing cycle.
